Today, students investigated the positive/negative relationships between shapes by creating a repetitive design of a letter from the alphabet. Some students chose to further investigate this drawing language by also incorporating numbers into their design.

After evaluating their still life drawings, students began to work on a formative assessment landscape drawing. The image above documents the current stage of drawing students ended with. When finished with their presentations, students were required to access the Color Theory Vocab Checklist to ensure their projects were created to assignment expectations. Today, students created their project proposal for the Linear Perspective Unit. Unlike projects in the past, I am letting THEM decide what to create! To align this unit with the Art Studio and Practice Standards, students will be assessed based on the following focus standard:
