Drawing Unit
For this unit, students learn to draw through the study of three genres: Still Life, Landscape, and Portrait. Students initially create a drawing portfolio with sketches, notes, and reflections to document their learning and growth. As a summative assessment, student reflect on their experience creating their drawing portfolio. Each student will choose their favorite drawing genre to focus on to create a final, well crafted drawing. This summative assessment will document the skills learned through development of their portfolio and align with the Drawing Unit Focus Standards listed below.
